Noisy Nights provide an outlet to hear emerging new musical ideas and voices.
After two years online, we are finally back live and our second gig will be held in Glasgow! Three Red Note musicians will perform 10 short new 5 minute works selected from the open call (details below).
The concert will be held at the Glad Café in Glasgow, on Monday 7th November in the evening, time TBC.
Call for Scores
Are you interested in writing a piece of music 3-5min long for Scotland’s contemporary music ensemble? Then this call is for you.
– Maximum length 5 minutes
– Instrumentation is Trumpet, Viola and Cello
– Only new works composed for this call
– Deadline 14th October (5pm – UK time)
Please note the scores should not include electronics or any pre-recorded parts, and when writing please consider that these concerts are rehearsed in a short time frame.
Full score and parts in PDF format to be submitted to Flore at admin@rednoteensemble.com by 5pm (UK time) on Friday 14th October. Please include full name and contact in your submission email and use the subject “Noisy Nights Glasgow – Application”. Late submissions will not be accepted.
A maximum of 10 pieces will be selected by a panel of musicians and composers from Red Note. Selected composers will be notified on the 24th October and the rehearsal and concert will be held on the 7thNovember.
