Factory Weekend is Red Note’s newest opportunity for young classical music performers aged 18-28 with an interest in contemporary music.
The fully funded two day workshop is primarily aimed at music students and recent graduates, and sees them working on improvisation and playing new compositions, playing alongside Red Note musicians and exploring their creative music making skills in a fun and supportive environment. Participants also have the opportunity for discussion and advice sessions with Red Note musicians and members of the team.
Our first Factory Weekend took place at Maryhill Burgh Halls, Glasgow in October 2024, with 14 talented young musicians from across the country.
