Ivor Novello Nomination Announcement!

We're absolutely thrilled to share ‘A Children’s Guide to Anarchy (An Easterhouse Children’s Manifesto)’ has been nominated for the Best Community and Participation Composition at this year’s The Ivors Classical Awards!

Born from Red Note’s 5 Places Programme, this is a unique collaboration that gives voice to the children of Easterhouse, Glasgow, allowing them to create a manifesto through music and words, challenging the status quo and exploring what kind of world they want to live in.

The Ivor Novello Awards, presented by The Ivors Academy, celebrate exceptional composition by British, Irish, or UK resident composers of new classical music and sound art.

What incredible recognition for this very special project! The winner will be announced at the ceremony on Tuesday, 12th November at BFI Southbank, London.

Composed by Brian Irvine
Libretto by John McIlduff
Co-created by the children of Oakwood Primary School, Scotland commissioned by Dumbworld and Red Note Ensemble
