SOUNDFESTIVAL 2024 – NORTHERN CONNECTION

Join us for the Northern Connection concert at soundfestival 2024!

We are delighted to perform Tine Surel Lange’s Flaskepost again at soundfestival after premiering it in 2023.

Flaskepost – meaning message in a bottle – is inspired by the ocean connecting Scotland and Norway. Based on field recordings made in the Lofoten archipelago in Northern Norway (where Tine is based), the piece is diving into the depths of the ocean, exploring the musical potential of the ocean itself as well as imagining the creatures and other things you can encounter in the depths. The piece also reflects on the ocean as pathway, both for human travel throughout the times but also for enormous amounts of plastic waste that with the Gulf Stream end up in Lofoten from all over the world.

We will be joined by defunensemble, Finland and Ensemble Temporum, Norway who will perform Lauri Supponen North and Lisa Robertson am fàsach.
